The Boston Celtics are on the brink of winning their 18th NBA title as they defeated the Dallas Mavericks 106-99, taking a commanding 3-0 series lead.

Despite a disastrous fourth quarter that almost saw their 21-point lead evaporate, the Boston Celtics are now just one win away from another NBA title.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown each recorded their first 30-point games of the series. Tatum contributed 31 points, six rebounds, and five assists, while Brown surged in the second half to finish with 30 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists.

Luka Dončić fouled out of the game late in the fourth quarter and finished with 27 points, six assists, and six rebounds, while Kyrie Irving led all scorers with 35 points on 13-of-28 shooting. The Mavericks have leaned heavily on their dynamic duo throughout the playoffs, but the Celtics' depth has proved to be more impactful overall.

No NBA team has ever overcome a 3-0 deficit, so the series is all but over. The Celtics will go for the sweep on Friday night in Dallas.
