Looking towards the Paris Olympic Games, Team USA's roster has finally taken shape. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the USA team will feature some of the biggest names in basketball, and for those Christian Laettner fans, there will not be a single college player on the roaster.

The usual suspects include LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Jrue Holiday, Bam Adebayo, and Anthony Davis. The team also includes two superstars on the rise, with Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Haliburton making out the filled spots on the roaster.

Paris marks Curry's Olympic debut. He missed the 2016 Rio Games due to injuries. This will be Embiid's first Olympics. He chose to play for Team USA over France or Cameroon, where he also holds citizenship.

Tatum, Durant, Booker, Holiday, and Adebayo return from the Tokyo Olympics gold-winning team in 2021. LeBron James rejoins the Olympic roster after last competing in 2012 when Team USA secured gold in London.

For those Jalen Brunson fans, there is one spot left on the roaster, which, according to multiple media outlets, is being set aside for Kawhi Leonard. The big snub is Kyrie Irving, who has been a terrific member of the USA basketball team in the past. Clearly, his stint in Brooklyn, which featured a wide variety of off-the-court antics, hurt his chances of being invited back. However, Irving has turned things around dramatically in Dallas, and it's hard to imagine this year's team without him.

As for Brunson, yes, he deserves to be on the team; maybe Head Coach Steve Kerr will have him on speed dial if someone goes down. Kerr will lead a coaching staff that includes superstar coaches Tyronn Lue, Erik Spoelstra, and Mark Few as assistants.

THE UNDERRATED LINE:

Minus the Kyrie Irving, this roaster looks correct. Clearly, this team should be able to bring home the Gold. Still, the reality is that Olympic basketball has grown up, and players you've never heard of before from countries you may find hard to pronounce are capable of beating even a star-studded cast of characters from the NBA. This will not be a cakewalk for Kerr; he will have to keep the team focused on the job at hand, not sipping great bottles of French Red but focused on bringing home the gold.
