So Joel Embiid is back and if he can get into mid-season form before the start of the NBA playoffs, the Philadelphia 76ers certainly could cause some Godzilla-like havoc on the rest of the Eastern Conference.

Embiid began his pregame workout to chants of "MVP" and was seen wearing a noticeable brace on his left knee under his white tights.

Embiid made his comeback to the court on Tuesday and led the Philadelphia 76ers to a 109-105 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. This followed a successful surgery on the lateral meniscus in his left knee in early February. He ended the game with 24 points, a team-high seven assists, six rebounds, and three steals, shooting 6-of-14 from the field and a perfect 12 for 12 from the free-throw line in 29 minutes of play.

Before his injury, the current NBA MVP averaged 35.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game over 34 matchups. Both his points and assists were on track to be career highs. During his absence, the 76ers struggled, going 11-18.

Currently, Philadelphia holds a 41-35 record, placing them eighth in the Eastern Conference and just two games behind the Indiana Pacers for the sixth seed. This position is crucial as it would allow them to skip the Play-In Tournament.

In a little bit of Embiid business news, he signed a multiyear endorsement deal with Skechers to be the face of the company's basketball division, as confirmed by league sources to The Athletic on Tuesday.
